About This Role

Mind Australia is a specialist mental health service provider with residential, mobile outreach, centre-based and online services.

We deliver practical and motivational support to help individuals develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve their lives.

This role involves delivering high-quality services and facilitating positive educational and social experiences for young people and their families.

Key responsibilities include undertaking brief interventions, providing information and education, organising referrals and care coordination, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Counselling, Psychology or related fields, and expertise in working with people with mental health issues and complex needs.

A demonstrated understanding of community services and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and stakeholders is essential.

Bonus points for proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese or other Asian languages.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Mental Health, Counselling, Psychology or related field.
  • Expertise in working with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families.
  • Proven capability to implement therapeutic frameworks and practices.
  • Understanding of Community Services sector and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Mandarin, Cantonese and Asian language skills are highly regarded.
