Legislation Publishing Specialist

The Queensland Government is seeking an experienced Legislation Publishing Specialist to join the LEAPS team. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and publishing Queensland legislation on the official website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare standard consolidations of Queensland legislation for publication using XML database systems.
- Edit draft legislation in accordance with current drafting practices and styles.
- Contribute to maintaining documentation of team processes and procedures.
- Support the team by implementing process improvements and contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Assist with supply of Bills and amendments to Parliament House and government printer.
Requirements:
- Understanding of editorial practices and legislative concepts.
- Experience using structured authoring tools like XML and FrameMaker.
- Broad knowledge of the Queensland Legislation website.
- High attention to detail, discretion, and tact.
- Positive attitude and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
