Lead Corporate Counsel

About the RoleThis role involves partnering closely with the AusPac business on complex commercial and compliance matters. As a key member of both the AusPac Regional Legal Team and Orica's globally integrated legal function, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes across the region.
The successful candidate will have a strong corporate and commercial legal acumen, a solutions-focused approach, and be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with the General Counsel, AusPac and the AusPac team on commercial and strategic legal matters impacting Orica, drafting and negotiating legal documents, advising on project documentation, and monitoring relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Advising on project documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- A minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience in corporate/projects/commercial legal practice
- Experience and expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
