Disability Support Professional

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive change in the lives of people with disability. As a Disability Support Professional, you will have the chance to work with complex disability support needs, including non-verbal, varying levels of physical aggression, and behaviors of concern. We are looking for applicants with 40+ hours availability per fortnight to work flexibility on a 24/7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed support to individuals with complex disability needs
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and community participation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and care
  • Contribute to a culture of inclusivity, respect, and empowerment within the organization

Requirements

  • Experience working with complex disability support needs
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates as per NDIS requirements or willingness to obtain
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with service users and support their individual personal plans
