About the role
As part of a state-wide maintenance team, you will work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused electrical professional to join our team.
You will report to a state manager and work as part of a team to execute planned preventive and breakdown maintenance throughout the state across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring a safe workplace, identifying and addressing risks appropriately and demonstrating positive safety behavior
  • Executing maintenance activities according to a weekly schedule and unscheduled work as required
  • Executing preventative electrical maintenance inspections, machine installations & relocations, switch board upgrades, machine and safety upgrades
  • Assisting in the development and enhancement of task-lists, work procedures and instructions

You are someone who has a solid work ethic, takes initiative, enjoys problem solving and have excellent communication, time management & organisational skills. You will also have:

  • An electrical trade qualification
  • Experience in fault-finding activities on complex, heavy industrial equipment
  • Demonstrated experience of breakdown, repair and preventative maintenance inspections in a similar industry
  • Proven history working on overhead cranes i.e. fault finding, breakdowns, repairs & maintenance
  • Ability to work in a team environment that puts people and safety first
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret Electrical, mechanical and pneumatic and hydraulic drawings
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute, influence and make informed technical decisions
Requirements:
  • EWP ticket
  • Experience in the following, ideally within a heavy industry, highly regarded: post-trade courses PLC control systems SAP or equivalent Safety Systems HMI and SCADA

This is a permanent, full-time role, with a view to a rotating shift roster once initial training has been completed with opportunity for overtime. The role will involve travel depending on jobs, flexibility is essential.
