**Job Title:** Lifestyle Assistant

 

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide essential lifestyle, social, and wellbeing services for our residents.

This role involves:

  • Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
  • Assisting in the design, delivery, and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities
  • Implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and involving the wider community, volunteers, and residents' family and friends
  • Providing direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting
  • Providing direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility, and social support
  • Supporting colleagues and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues, and residents by closely following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
  • The ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • A reliable team player
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
