Job Title: Social Work Unit Head

Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Unit Head to lead our Social Work service at Bulli and Coledale Hospital.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Social Work service is provided to patients, clients, consumers, and their family/carers with optimal health outcomes consistent with ISLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.

This role will work closely with other social workers across the community in the Illawarra and will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day operations are delivered in the most effective and efficient manner.

The position holder will work across Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, handing over to a job share for Monday and Tuesday, and will spend time at both Bulli and Coledale hospitals.

About Us

Bulli Hospital provides inpatient, outpatient, and allied health services, as well as the Urgent Care Centre, for the northern Illawarra.

Coledale Hospital is a 45-bed facility specialising in aged care and rehabilitation services for the northern Illawarra.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), a Working With Children Check, a NSW Drivers Licence, and applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
