Strategic Leadership Role

The Principal Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in driving the organisation's strategic delivery.

This high-level position requires managing outward-facing responsibilities, coordinating impactful presentations, driving key projects and programs, drafting Board papers, and ensuring seamless follow-through of Board and Senior Leadership Team actions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

In this role, you will also represent the CEO when required, manage cross-functional initiatives, lead special projects, and foster strong relationships across senior stakeholders. You will have the autonomy to navigate sensitive or complex matters with discretion and sound judgment, while maintaining a commitment to risk management and modelling core values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level, confidential strategic and operational advice to the CEO and Commissioner.
  • Lead the forward planning and preparation of critical briefings, speeches, and documents to ensure the CEO is fully informed for meetings, events, and ministerial briefings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Executive Coordinator to manage diary commitments and ensure timely briefings, while also liaising with the Ministerial and Executive Services Unit.
  • Draft and review papers for Board, Committee, and Senior Leadership Team meetings, as well as leading the SLT secretariat function including coordinating agendas, meeting packs, and tracking action items.
