We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Advisor to join our client in a State Government Department. Located in Brisbane CBD, Queensland.

**Job Summary:**

The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-level strategic advice and support to the Office of the Executive Director, Operations, on a wide range of organisational issues and corporate reporting requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and processing of briefing notes, executive correspondence and ministerial requests in line with departmental approval protocols and timeframe targets.
  • Consult, negotiate and develop effective relationships across the department to address issues and achieve business outcomes.
  • Coordinate the reporting of sensitive and confidential information to and from the Office of the Assistant Director-General.
  • Provide analysis and independent advice to executives on policies and issues impacting organisational and operational responsibilities.
  • Undertake special projects to research, analyse and report on organisational and business performance issues as required.

**Requirements:**

  • A high attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred.
  • Experience in handling confidential conversations and material.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Ability to pass a national police check.
  • Experience working closely with executives and ministerial personnel.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
