Business Partner Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Partner to provide strategic advice on procurement and capital works projects.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing people, managing change, and influencing behaviors that create a supportive culture.

  • Developing team members through guiding, mentoring and advisory roles.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to form project-specific relationships and ensuring delivery of project outcomes in a collaborative environment.
  • Managing project procurement, contract management activities, and participating in the negotiation of contracts and agreements.
  • Pursuing, developing, and nurturing internal and external professional networks and collaborative working relationships.
  • Maintaining accurate records and complying with reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing sound advice to businesses on improving their practices.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of problems in systems and services.
  • Representing Central Procurement Services at interagency meetings as required.
Essential Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated experience in project support, finance, administration, including budgets, financial management, reporting, procurement, and contract management.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working experience of Government procurement policies and legislation.
Desirable Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering corporate services.
  • Knowledge of government and industry strategic initiatives.
