About the Role

Allambi Care is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Fostering and Permanency team as a Case Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care, their carers, and birth families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Develop and implement effective case plans, leaving care plans, and aftercare plans with children and young people in care, carers, birth families, and relevant professionals.
  • Casework: Provide support to children and young people in care, their carers, and birth families through home visits, trauma-informed care education, behavior support strategies, advocacy, and referrals to relevant therapeutic support services.
  • Administration: Maintain client records and case management systems according to policies, procedures, standards, and legislation.
  • Communication: Liaise with carer families, birth families, and other service providers to promote a positive and high-quality placement.
  • Professional Development: Attend supervision meetings, ongoing training, and development opportunities as required by management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum Diploma in Community Services or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Experience in case management and/or working with families or children and young people.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Needs-Based Framework, TCI concepts, and strategies.

Selection Criteria
  • Current Working with Children Check: Required for paid employment.
  • Current NDIS Worker Check: Required for paid employment.
  • Current First Aid Certificate: Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003.
  • National Police Check: Required for paid employment.
  • Drivers License: Comprehensively insured vehicle.
