About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SMSF Portfolio Manager to join our SMSF Specialist Team in Parramatta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a specific SMSF portfolio, ensuring exceptional outcomes, and providing technical advice to clients on superannuation and taxation rules.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and review the compliance work file, reporting deliverables, and audit outcomes on each fund within your portfolio.
  2. Proactively liaise with clients, external auditors, the ATO, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality work and exceptional outcomes.
  3. Develop and provide technical advice to clients on the application of superannuation and taxation rules.
  4. Collaborate with other services, including tax and accounting compliance, and business/tax advisory work for middle-market clients.
  5. Participate in internal training and client events on SMSF topics of interest.
  6. Effectively manage billing and internal risk procedures.
  7. Develop into a mentor to assist less experienced team members and encourage their professional development.
Requirements
  • Prior SMSF experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
  • Class Super experience is desired.
  • A passion for ongoing learning.
