Role Overview

Engage in the development of nutritious meal plans.Collaborate with a national network of center cooks to exchange recipes, ideas, and best practices.Leverage the Feed Australia program, a complimentary resource that aids cooks in planning, budgeting, and accessing healthy menus to support children's growth and development.

Candidate Profile

Proficient and skilled cook.Able to create, implement, and assess the nutritional value of menus for children of varying ages.Experienced in large-scale meal preparation, online procurement, inventory management, and financial oversight.Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.Capable of accommodating individual dietary needs, including allergies and specific requirements.Enthusiastic about participating in educational activities that teach children about healthy eating through lessons and family events.

Qualifications

Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate.Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (preferred).Experience in a childcare setting.Reliable transportation to and from the center.Current first aid certification (including asthma and anaphylaxis training) and resuscitation certification.
