Position Overview

We are currently seeking applications for Healthcare Support Specialists to contribute to our Mid North Community and Allied Health casual pool.

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, your main responsibility will be to assist and support a multidisciplinary team in delivering Allied Health services to patients and clients within the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network Community Health, under the guidance of an Allied Health professional.

Your responsibilities may encompass:

  • Conducting various specialized clinical assessments and patient treatments, as directed, for individuals with complex needs.
  • Performing administrative tasks directly related to patient interventions or care episodes.
  • Participating in leading group therapies and educational sessions for patients with diverse and complex requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

This position is classified as either AHA2 or AHA3, with classification determined by qualifications and experience. Applicants must be eligible and willing to complete Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, or Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent. Experience in service delivery and knowledge of Allied Health Assistants is essential.
