Job Overview

A System Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge projects that safeguard Australia's interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring expertise from the Defence or consulting services industries to support the development of secure environments.
  • Utilize strong Linux OS skills, including automation and administration, with hands-on experience using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef.
  • Apply proficiency in containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline experience using platforms like GitLab Runners, Jenkins, or Bamboo, driving agile development and deployment.
  • Develop virtualisation and infrastructure knowledge, including VMware and Hyper-V, to foster scalable and secure environments.
  • Understand agile and secure environments, with experience in SAFe, DevOps, Scrum, and working in air-gapped or Defence settings.
  • Maintain cyber security awareness and familiarity with cyber operations.
  • Produce and review technical documentation.

Security clearance: Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
