Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise prisoner behavior and activities on a daily basis, adhering to the centre's established routine.
  • Contribute to prisoner rehabilitation through work or activities, supporting case management within the centre.
  • Prepare meals according to centre requirements, taking into account dietary guidelines and resource constraints.
  • Participate in procurement and stock control procedures to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Provide training on safe equipment operation and food safety protocols to prisoners.
  • Liaise with management regarding prisoner employment in the kitchen area.
  • Develop and implement food handling protocols that meet food safety standards.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment for maintenance and compliance with health and safety principles.
  • Report equipment damage, defects, or loss and maintain accurate records of such incidents.
  • Respond appropriately to non-compliant prisoner behavior in accordance with policies and guidelines.
