Job Summary
Charterhouse is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Melbourne CBD. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our key clients across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the fortnightly and weekly payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Handle payroll adjustments, terminations, leave reconciliations, and one-off payments for a number of our key clients across Australia.
- Assist with process documentation, identify potential improvements, and ensure a strong focus on audit and governance.
- Interpret awards, validate calculations, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and practical approach, maintaining high standards of communication and service.
Requirements:
- Proven experience handling payroll end to end, ideally supporting different clients.
- Extensive experience with payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation, terms, and leave.
- Proficiency in time and attendance systems, award/enterprise agreement interpretation, and payroll system integration.
- Strong analytical skills, organisational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Excel.
