About the Role

At Raytheon Australia, we're seeking a skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for providing enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices. The position involves managing moderately sized projects or processes with minimal oversight and providing measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Principal Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule, and implement projects from inception through system transition.
  • You will communicate with many levels of program, other contractor, and government stakeholders and work to positively influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
  • A key purpose of this position is to manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout, and test of operational system modifications and upgrades.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8+ years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience with Systems installation, integration, and test experience.
  • Experience with Engineering technical abilities and project management skills.
  • Experience with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor).
  • Experience with Request For Change (RFC) impact reviews and assessment experience.
  • Active TS/SCI CI Poly transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Our salary range for this role is $96,000 USD - $200,000 USD per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
