Raytheon Australia is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Alice Springs, Australia.

This exciting opportunity involves providing enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing moderately sized projects or processes with minimal oversight and providing measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives.

This role requires exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively manage projects in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work-life balance practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule, and implement projects from inception through system transition.
  • Communicating with multiple levels of program, other contractor, and government stakeholders to positively influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Managing system integration projects and providing reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout, and test of operational system modifications and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) with a minimum of 8+ years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems installation, integration, and test.
  • Excellent technical abilities and project management skills.
  • Proven track record of working with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor).
  • Active TS/SCI CI Poly transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $96,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
