About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator and Constructor to join our Structural Fabrications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and constructing metal products using various techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and construct metal products using Tig and MIG techniques
  • Select, clean, and prepare metal from stock
  • Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
  • Join metal sections using various welding techniques and bolting
  • Examine welds for width, penetration, and precision
  • Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding

Requirements:

  • Tig and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Some experience in stainless steel and aluminum welding is an advantage
  • Welding certification or relevant experience
  • A current driver's license and reliable transport
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Motivation, reliability, and pride in workmanship
  • A strong safety-focused work ethic
  • Boiler making experience is an advantage
