Make a meaningful impact as a Senior Risk Underwriter – Liability

We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team at IAG, the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.

You'll be responsible for determining the conditions and pricing of moderate to complex risks, ensuring they align with business and regulatory requirements. This will involve managing new business and renewals, including intermediary visits, to support our NSW Broker Partners.

As a senior member of the team, you'll also support and mentor junior colleagues, utilising your expertise in liability underwriting to drive excellence.

You'll play a key role in the management of the Liability portfolio, overseeing underwriting processing, credit management, documentation issuance, and general servicing and management of liability risks.

This is a permanent role open to candidates in NSW, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a similar Liability Underwriting role
  • Current knowledge of the general insurance industry
  • Excellent customer focus with commercial acumen
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • An insurance qualification, e.g. ANZIIF Cert IV or in the process of working towards (preferred)
  • Associate of ANZIIF (preferred)
