About the Rail Systems Manager Role

Job Description

The Rail Systems Manager is a key position in our organization, responsible for overseeing the design, integration, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of rail systems. This includes ensuring the successful delivery of rail infrastructure projects.

This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines while driving efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement track and signalling construction methodologies
  • Provide technical guidance on rail design
  • Manage the integration of rail systems with civil, structural, and third-party interfaces
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials to achieve program objectives
  • Deliver occupations, including staging all works during possessions
  • Cost forecast and manage R&O related to rail works
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
  • Comply with Standards and Specifications and manage change requirements
Requirements
  • Tertiary engineering qualification in engineering or similar
  • High level of experience in rail construction and staging on major infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of rail safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
