We are seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to lead operations of our Adelaide venue, located in the beautiful Botanic Park.

This is a full-time fixed-term position, perfect for a team leader with a passion for events.

  • Work closely with the Venue Manager to manage daily operations, including set-up and pack-down
  • Support the Venue Manager with management of the bump-in and bump-out production schedules
  • Provide leadership to approximately 30 onsite crew, working alongside the Venue Manager
  • Assist with staff recruitment, training and development
  • Management of F&B operations (including ordering, invoice entry and stock control)
  • Assist with the execution of sponsorship activations and deliverables
  • Rostering and payroll management
  • Accountability of AV operation (including screen set up and content management)
  • Implementation of management plans and WHS compliance

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a leadership position
  • Previous cinema or event management experience is advantageous
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage and customer service
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong initiative and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, combined with the ability to take ownership and problem solve
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must have current RSA certificate
  • Must have valid driver's license
