Horticulture Team Lead Role

We are seeking an experienced Horticulture Team Leader to lead a skilled team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

About the Job
  • Lead a team of horticultural professionals in the maintenance of gardens, parks, and green spaces.
  • Develop and implement schedules and task plans to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Lead a skilled team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Schedule Management: Develop and implement schedules and task plans to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities.
  3. Talent Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
  4. Quality Assurance: Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.

About You
  • Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or equivalent qualification.
  • Industry leadership experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • White Card and valid Drivers' license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
