Events Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Events Supply Planner to join our Commercial team at Coles Group, Australia's leading supermarket and liquor retailer.

About the RoleAs an Events Supply Planner, you will work closely with our Supply Chain Manager to identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end supply chain, partner with internal logistics teams to deliver supply performance KPIs, and manage and be accountable for a growing business function with significant spend.
About Your Responsibilities- Partner with internal logistics teams to deliver supply performance KPIs and prepare contingency plans in the event of unknown supply delays
- Manage and be accountable for a growing business function with significant spend, delivering aggressive targeted reductions year on year
- Influence and work cross-functionally with distribution centers, transport providers, and supply chain operations to help improve service levels
- Proactively seek and identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end supply chain and manage the implementation of initiatives
- D deliver the demand plan for a variety of suppliers in a way to ensure the right product, right time, and right place
You will have the opportunity to develop innovative event solutions to solve supply & demand network operational issues across distribution and transport. To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Demonstrated experience in a Events/Supply Planning role, with developed planning and analytical skills
- Proven understanding of Supply Chain finance
- Ability to manage multiple projects, where process optimization and cost reduction has been a focus
- Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to question process and come up with ideas to mitigate supply risks
- Experience in managing supply chain network models and system levers to achieve supply metrics
- An innate set of skills in negotiation, procurement, and contract management, including setting up new supply agreements
- A high proficiency for communication, catering for a variety of stakeholder levels including overseas vendors and internal stakeholders
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive salary package, ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as professional development opportunities and a generous superannuation scheme.
