Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Coles Group. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in driving end-to-end supply chain optimization and ensuring online store availability.
About the RoleIn this role, you'll work closely with suppliers to ensure seamless inventory management and delivery of products to our customers. Your key focus will be on driving efficiency and cost reduction across the supply chain, while also developing innovative solutions to tackle supply chain challenges.
You'll be responsible for category portfolio forecasts, managing day-to-day supply in line with business expectations, and monitoring inventory levels to optimize working capital. Your strong numeric and financial skills will be essential in promoting and achieving Supply Chain strategy.
A key requirement for this role is sales forecasting experience, and you'll need to be able to develop effective internal and external stakeholder relationships with Merchandise Team, Marketing team, Store Support Centre team, Distribution Centre(s) team, and Suppliers.
You'll have the opportunity to work with a group of suppliers to develop an in-depth understanding of the supply chain and identify opportunities to reduce cost and stock holding, and improve availability and service.
As a Supply Chain Planner, you'll be responsible for ensuring revenue is maximised by delivering strong stock availability, and you'll need to be able to meet and exceed key financial targets to ensure profitable BU growth.
About You and Your SkillsWe're looking for a strong communicator who is personable and inspires individuals and ideas. You'll work well in a diverse team and be passionate about cultivating an inclusive culture that thrives on collaboration and innovation.
You'll have 3-5 years of experience ideally within retail or FMCG, and you'll need to be able to manage portfolio stock flow through the end-to-end supply chain, including managing stock flow to meet availability, stock and waste outcomes.
You'll also need to be able to develop effective internal and external stakeholder relationships, manage the end-to-end range in/out/exit process, and work with supplier, DC and merchandising colleagues to develop an in-depth understanding of the supply chain.
