Embroidery Machine Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Embroidery Machine Specialist to join our team in Keysborough.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a SWF/HC coloured embroidery machine, ensuring a timely and high-quality embroidery service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all garments delivered to the embroidery room match the order sheet
  • Prepare embroidery machines for garments by loading digitized designs into machine networks and making manual thread colour changes as required
  • Prepare garments for embroidery machines by setting up hooping mechanisms and placing backing materials
  • Operate embroidery machines and heat presses to produce high-quality embroidered products
  • Trim, fold, and re-pack garments once embroidered or heat pressed
  • Monitor work orders and update records to ensure accurate tracking
  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns or garment upsets to minimize downtime
  • Maintain and perform basic upkeep on embroidery machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Read and understand work orders to determine embroidery type and location
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder as needed to maintain a smooth production process
  • Pack completed orders once production is finished

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Embroidery Machine Operator
  • Demonstrated expertise in an embroidery/manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to recognize and execute instructions accurately
  • Intermediate computer skills for record-keeping and data entry
