Job Description

We are seeking a Waste Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining waste processing equipment, monitoring and maintaining leachate and stormwater drains, and providing customer service regarding Council's waste operations and fees.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery, hand tools, and vehicles, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Operating compactors and other plant to maintain the landfill site
  • Maintaining plant in a clean condition and carrying out routine servicing of plant
  • Monitoring and maintaining leachate and stormwater drains
  • Undertaking litter pick up around site
  • Providing customer service concerning Council's waste operations and fees
  • Assisting with sales and resource recovery operations at the Buy Back Centre
  • Operating hand tools and machinery
  • Operating weighbridge
