Steel Fabrication Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a talented construction modeler to join our team working on large-scale commercial and industrial projects. A great work environment, diverse project portfolio, and competitive remuneration package are offered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating 3D models and workshop drawings for structural steel. They will interpret architectural, engineering, hydraulic, and civil plans to complete the design. This role requires collaboration with customers, designers, architects, engineers, and interfacing trades. The candidate must deliver projects within agreed timelines and inform project managers of any changes (variations, EOTs, and claims). Additionally, they must comply with building codes, industry standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D models and workshop drawings for structural steel
  • Interpret architectural, engineering, hydraulic, and civil plans to complete the design

  • Deliver projects within agreed timelines
  • Inform project managers of any changes (variations, EOTs, and claims)

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of steel manufacturing and fabrication
  • 5+ years' experience working in a drafting office
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate with various stakeholders and clients
