Job Title: Utility Technician

We are seeking experienced electrical technicians to maintain and service utility scale battery sites. This role involves servicing, troubleshooting, or upgrading medium to high voltage equipment at our battery storage site.

This is an opportunity for self-motivated team players with a positive attitude who want to begin building a career in the renewable energy infrastructure sector.

As a key member of our technician team, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our battery storage sites.

Occasional travel to support other sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineering team
  • Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repair
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and LV/MV/HV test equipment for diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Develop and follow best practices and procedures for various maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment
  • Maintain high levels of communication and feedback within the service organization

Requirements:

  • Certified Electrician (Cert III in Electrical/Electro Technology)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical experience within the Utility sector (Solar/Wind experience is preferred)
  • Up-to-date Electrical Registration/License
  • HV switching certification and experience
  • SCADA operating experience is a plus
