About the Role

We deliver electricity to millions of customers daily through our network of poles and wires. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise, design, and project management for underground distribution projects.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and advising on underground power line infrastructure to agreed standards and guidelines.
  • Undertaking minor surveying activities in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Verifying designs and manufacturer-supplied drawings against company standards and guidelines.
  • Developing design policies and maintaining system records in accordance with organizational requirements.
  • Preparing detailed construction plans for Distribution projects and estimating resources in a timely manner.

To succeed, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
  • Certified by Engineers Australia
  • National Engineering Registration and Registered Professional Engineer of Australia
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in underground distribution project design
  • Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD design, electrical networks, operation, and construction planning
  • Proven ability to apply new technologies and innovations
  • Project Design Management principles and knowledge of construction methods
