Job Description

Air 6500 Program: Leading National Security Programs

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance core software configuration management disciplines, including version control, change management, build management, and release management.

You will play a key role in developing a joint air battle management system, building on Next Generation sensor and command and control systems.

Our team is responsible for creating a fully networked 'system of systems' synchronising air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments.

As a technical leader, you will have the opportunity to extend your impact beyond coding—into team leadership, process ownership, and strategic delivery alignment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and enhance core software configuration management disciplines, including version control, change management, build management, and release management.
  • Develop and implement efficient software development processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to improve their skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with version control and repository management tools.
  • Proven expertise in CI/CD tools.
  • Solid background in Agile software development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams in a collaborative environment.
