About This Role

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing network solutions for the Air 6500 program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network architectures aligned with Air 6500 requirements and technology strategy
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements
  • Implement cyber security measures into network designs, validate the effectiveness of proposed network architecture against these security requirements
  • Evaluate and analyze technology options, defining selection criteria and documenting assessments
  • Contribute to the design, create configurations, implement, and conduct maintenance of network security solutions including firewalls, load balances, virtual appliances, VPNs, as well as cloud-native routing and switching technologies
  • Work with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and System Architects to guide hardware requirements
  • Contribute to the development of security by design into the Network Architecture
  • Develop key Air 6500 technical documents and artefacts such as network solution description, trade studies, and definition of requirements

Requirements

  • Familiarity with software-defined networking
  • Experience with network management systems
  • Experience with Voice, Mobile, Data, and Satellite connectivity
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures
  • Knowledge in routing, switching, and firewall technologies
  • Relevant qualifications, experience, or certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE)
  • Awareness of Security frameworks, governance, and compliance (e.g. ISM, DSPF, and PSPF)
  • Excellent analysis skills with an ability to develop and evaluate alternatives to determine best value based on customer-provided performance weighting
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including both speaking and listening to the customer
