Electrical Engineering Specialist

As a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy by designing and developing innovative solutions for clients across Western Australia's energy and resources sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, collaborating closely with civil and mechanical engineers to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting and leading detailed designs and technical reports for clients, including substation primary or secondary systems.
  • Developing and optimising designs for substations to meet client needs, working closely with cross-functional project teams and project managers.
  • Collaborating with design experts to produce single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and substation/control room layouts.
  • Ensuring designs comply with Australian and local regulations and standards.
  • Providing technical leadership and expertise to team members, supporting client needs and financial decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in high voltage projects in Western Australia and/or the Northern Territory as a consultant, developer, owner, or contractor in the energy and/or mining or resources sector.
  • Knowledge of transmission and distribution industry standards and codes in Australia and/or design experience with Australian electrical utilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with demonstrated technical leadership abilities.
  • Strong technical capability, report writing skills, and excellent communication skills.
