Welder First Class Opportunity

Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking a highly skilled Welder First Class to join our client's dynamic team in Edinburgh, SA.

About the Role:

As a Welder First Class, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal products using a variety of welding techniques. You will study blueprints and drawings to determine specific job requirements, select and prepare metal stock, and mark out metal sections and shapes using hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study production drawings to determine job requirements
  • Select and prepare metal stock for fabrication
  • Mark out metal sections and shapes using hand tools
  • Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
  • Use various welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal products
  • Examine welds for precision and finish welds by applying cleaning products, smoothing, filling, and chiseling

Requirements:

You must have a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or equivalent, including at least two years of on-the-job experience. Alternatively, you may have at least three years of relevant on-the-job experience that substitutes the formal qualification.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of between $75,000 and $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation, and the opportunity to work with a reputable company that values quality and excellence.
