Job Opportunity: Welder First Class

Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder First Class to join our dynamic team. Our client, a well-established engineering and fabricating company, is looking for a full-time professional to work on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Study blueprints, drawings, and determine specific job requirements to ensure successful project execution.
  • Material Preparation: Select and prepare metal stock, mark out metal sections, and shape using hand tools.
  • Metal Cutting and Welding: Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines, and use various welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal products.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds for precision and finish welds by applying cleaning products, smoothing, filling, and chiseling.
Requirements:
  • AACQ Certificate III or equivalent qualification, with at least two years of on-job experience.
  • Or, at least three years of relevant on-job experience may substitute the formal qualification.
  • Clear understanding of production drawings.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good organizational skills with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment.
  • Salary of between $75k - $85k plus superannuation.
