Rural Medical Leader

The role of Rural Medical Leader is to provide comprehensive medical and community health services to remote communities.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, providing clinical leadership, supervision, training, and education.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Providing medical services to Carnarvon/Exmouth Health Service and remote communities.
- Collaborating with Remote Area Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Aboriginal Liaison Officers to achieve common goals.
- Developing and maintaining skills necessary for safe, effective, appropriate, and quality clinical service.
- Honing skills in patient retrieval and high-level care through collaboration with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
About the Region:
The Midwest/Gascoyne region offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. This region is located in the northwest of Western Australia and consists of local government areas such as Carnarvon, Exmouth, Shark Bay, and Upper Gascoyne.
About the Position:
This recruitment pool is active and will be assessed regularly by the panel to fill both immediate vacant positions and future vacancies. As a Rural Medical Leader, you will have the opportunity to work in emergency departments, ward-based care, and GP outreach clinics, with access to resident specialists and support from the WACHS Command Centre.
