Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join our team at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO). As a key member of our Data Flows team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and running machine learning systems at scale, as well as maintaining the infrastructure that supports them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop machine learning systems that meet the needs of ASIO's mission
  • Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop technology solutions
  • Maintain and improve the infrastructure that supports machine learning systems, including dedicated GPU hardware
  • Work in a fast-paced team across a range of full stack technologies and ever-changing technology landscapes
Requirements
  • Experience in containerisation technologies, including administration and application development
  • Software development or programming experience, including modern practices such as CI/CD
  • Ability to learn and grow individually, while mentoring junior team members effectively
  • Tertiary qualifications in Artificial Intelligence/Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or relevant STEM qualifications
  • Experience working with high performance computing infrastructure, environments, and associated concepts
