Job Title: Platform Architect

At EDT Global Pty Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a new Open Source DB service and platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with strategic planning and engineering teams to bring ideas from initial concept to completion.
  • Engage with external customers and industry partners to drive innovation and growth.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a new Open Source DB service and platform, covering service requests, provisioning, configuration, monitoring, backup and recovery, and security strategies.
  • Create both high-level conceptual designs and detailed design documentation to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Present and discuss different technological perspectives with key stakeholders through workshops, webinars, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Mentor team members on technology, architecture, and the delivery of new solutions to drive knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Partner with Operations Service Delivery to conduct knowledge transfer (KT) training for Level 2 and Level 3 teams, while optimizing DB infrastructure.
  • Quickly adapt to and master new technologies and technical domains by identifying, assessing, and evaluating them.
  • Provide technical leadership and establish architectural direction by aligning technical vision with business objectives across all services within the domain.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical fields, Mathematics, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
  • Expertise in server platform architectures, power management systems, or server system architecture.
  • Experience in virtualization and security across domains such as computing, networking, storage, endpoints, mobility, and virtualization.
  • Strong knowledge of platform power delivery architecture, multi-phase voltage regulator design, power network analysis, and standard lab procedures.
  • Extensive experience in Windows / RHEL platform architecture.
