STEM Educator Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a STEM Educator. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing timely and targeted services and strategies to support the STEM academic learning needs of students.

The STEM Educator will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including academics, professional staff, and students, to contribute to the work related to Student Success and Teaching Advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to enhance student engagement and success in STEM subjects.
  • Collaborate with academics and professional staff to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Provide targeted support and resources to students who require additional assistance in STEM subjects.
Requirements:Education and Qualifications:

A degree in a discipline with a strong relevance to the learning and teaching of maths and science academic and learning practice and pedagogy is essential.

At least four years of subsequent relevant work experience is also required.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Expertise in maths, statistics, and a science at a tertiary level is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in close partnership with a diverse range of students and staff at all levels of an organisation is essential.
  • Proven effectiveness as a team member with a flexible approach in relation to change and responding to the shifting needs of the student population is required.
