Cyber security professionals are in high demand to secure the ever-growing digital landscape. A cybersecurity engineer with expertise in automation is a key role that involves developing and maintaining secure systems, networks, and applications.
The goal of this position is to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to protect against emerging threats and ensure compliance with industry regulations. As a cybersecurity engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing system vulnerabilities, implementing countermeasures, and monitoring system performance to prevent security breaches.
Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all aspects of the business, from development to deployment. Your work will involve staying up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the organization's security posture remains strong.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and virtual private networks.
- Design and implement secure cloud-based systems using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security controls into software development lifecycle.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, and advise on security best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
- Strong background in Firewalls or Intrusion detection or prevention systems
- Experience working in hybrid cloud environments and securing enterprise infrastructure.
- DevOps & Automation: Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development, secure deployment practices, and automation scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Relevant cloud infra certifications such as SC-200, AZ-500, or equivalent.
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, PCCSE, PCNSE, PCSAE, CCNP Security, CCIE Security and/or Security+ certification.
- Hands on experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and Microsoft Defender suite
- OT/ICS Security: Any experience with industrial control systems is preferred (not mandatory)
