We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Turbine Technician to join our team in Australia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex tasks such as de-blading, re-blading, and rotor balancing to maximize efficiency and operational longevity of steam and gas turbines.

You will ensure safety and quality compliance by following procedures, using protective gear, and adhering to company values.

  • Disassemble, repair, and balance mechanical equipment, including turbine shafts, journals, and housings.
  • Conduct measurements and inspections using precision tools, filling out check sheets accurately.
  • Replace or repair mechanical components, including turbine gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Trade Certificate III in Fitting & Turning or similar.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting on turbines and/or rotating machinery.
  • Strong ability to manage workloads effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
