Job Summary

This role will be part of the Technology Project Risk team, supporting technology projects to achieve their objectives by embedding consistent risk management practices and implementing a framework for managing risk and compliance obligations across the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of technology risk with strong experience in application and data migrations, as well as experience in project risk management and delivering risk into change. They will be able to work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance risk capability within the organisation and produce insightful risk reports that generate improvements and drive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate risks from the outset and track them meticulously to prevent any surprises later in the project.
  • Lead the development and implementation of mitigation strategies to address risks before they escalate, minimizing potential disruptions and negative impacts.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to engage relevant stakeholders in the risk management process.
  • Conduct regular workshops to address emerging risks and ensure that the project team remains vigilant.
  • Develop and maintain risk logs to ensure that risks are not only identified but are also tracked and managed effectively.
  • Assist the program team in creating regular status reports that highlight the current state of delivery risks, ongoing mitigation efforts, and any changes in risk assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of technology risk with strong experience in application and data migrations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in project risk management (Risk in Change) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing both delivery and delivered risk in projects is highly desirable.
  • A background in computer and/or data science is beneficial.
  • Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance risk capability within the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce insightful risk reports which generate improvements and drive change.
  • Experience of operating within a three lines of accountability model to support effective challenge and transparency.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management or risk management will be highly regarded.
  • Certifications relevant to technology risk (CRISC, CISA etc) will be highly regarded.
