English Teacher Needed for Catholic College

We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join our close-knit community at St Patrick's Marist College. About the Opportunity

The successful applicant will be a talented professional with a passion for teaching English in stages 4 to 6. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, fostering a love of learning and promoting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English in stages 4 to 6 using innovative and creative approaches that cater to different learning styles
  • Support the Catholic, academic, and pastoral dimensions of college life by actively promoting the values of our community and supporting students in their spiritual, social, and emotional growth
  • Lead the development of social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills, including critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, for each student
  • Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning, ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed in an increasingly digital world
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance to work with children in a school setting
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to teach in New South Wales
  • Tertiary Qualification in Education/Teaching with a focus on English and secondary education
  • Experience in Learning Support will be highly regarded, as we strive to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all our students
