Early Childhood Educator Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to lead a small group of children in our brand-new 85-place early learning service in Mount Waverley.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and previous experience as a room leader. They will be responsible for creating a stimulating, positive, and fun environment for both educators and children, ensuring learning and development align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Making children laugh while learning
  • Creating a stimulating, positive, and fun environment for educators and children
  • Ensuring learning and development align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
  • Implementing and evaluating programs indoors and outdoors
  • Writing observations and analyzing children's progression and development
  • Developing strong relationships with children and effectively communicating with parents and carers

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Previous experience as a room leader highly desirable
  • Use of coaching techniques to help develop reflective practices
  • Identifying areas of improvement and supporting educators in their planning
  • High levels of communication skills and maintaining a professional manner in the workplace
  • A strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
  • Ability to work full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus
  • Penalty rates

Education:

  • Diploma (required)

Experience:

  • Lead educator: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Working with Children Check (preferred)

Ability to Commute:
