About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with nurses in routine tasks, assisting aged care residents living in the Carnarvon and Anchusa Nursing Homes on Kangaroo Island. You will perform a range of duties that require basic aged care skills, knowledge, training, and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living
  • Performing routine technical support functions at the level of setting up for nursing procedures, cleaning equipment, and managing local stock levels
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program in nursing or hold a Certificate III or IV in aged care or home and community care
  • Demonstrating a commitment to providing person-centred care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • A good understanding of aged care standards
