About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Division on a permanent basis. As a liaison psychiatrist, you will work with a team of professionals to make a difference to consumers impacted by mental health difficulties. Person centred care will be at the core of what you do, and you will be guided by the Austin Health values.

About You: A registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP), or equivalent. To be an accredited supervisor for RANZCP training in accordance with RANZCP guidelines. An interest in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry as demonstrated by interest, experience and/or ideally an advanced certificate in CL Psychiatry from RANZCP. Demonstrated experience with a variety of liaison psychiatry settings, including inreach to the emergency department or rehabilitation services where indicated. Demonstrated capacity to build professional relationships between mental health and other healthcare. Demonstrated commitment to improving the quality and safety of patients across a health service and throughout the lifespan (including paediatrics and aged). Demonstrated ability to work with medical and surgical teams to achieve optimal health outcomes for patients of Austin Health. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, training and research.
