Job Description">

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Philanthropy Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving income generation through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift, mid-level, and bequest donors.

The role will have a focus on growing the major gift, bequest, and mid-level giving programs, as well as supporting the Head of Fundraising and Executive Leadership Team on major income-generating campaigns, including capital campaigns.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to influence, negotiate, and problem-solve. They will also have advanced research, writing, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and other teams to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans. You will identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major gift, mid-level giving, and bequest donors and prospects.

You will also ensure that the voice of supporters is considered in all communication touch points and respond to donor inquiries and build relationships with supporters and gift facilitators.

Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Tertiary qualifications in fundraising, philanthropy, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, preferably within gifts in Wills or Major Gift programs
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing strategic fundraising programs
  • Proven track record in achieving fundraising targets and securing bequests, major gifts, and in-memory donations
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to influence, negotiate, and problem-solve
  • Advanced research, writing, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
