Dispensary Technician Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dispensary Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. As a Dispensary Technician, you will be responsible for dispensing medications under supervision for inpatients and outpatients.

You will work closely with our pharmacy teams to ensure the efficient distribution of medications, manage inventory levels, and assist with other ad-hoc pharmaceutical duties. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in hospital pharmacy and work with patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications under supervision for inpatients and outpatients
  • Assist customers with general queries, including liaising with hospital staff
  • Replenish stock and assist in maintaining inventory levels both in pharmacy and in the hospital
  • Assist the pharmacy teams with other ad-hoc pharmaceutical duties

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize workload
  • Compassionate and team-oriented attitude

Working Hours:

This role is a permanent part-time position. We require a dedicated Dispensary Technician to cover the following hours:

  • Friday evening - 5:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Every second Saturday - 7:30am - 12:30pm
