The Role

As a Diesel Fitter Mechanic, you will work across a diverse range of vehicles and mobile equipment, including trucks, trailers, generators, and compressors.

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and more.
  • Perform regular servicing, lubrication, and preventative maintenance.
  • Test engine performance and fine-tune for optimal operation.
  • Rebuild engines and fabricate or repair parts when required.
  • Utilize specialized tools and mechanical equipment to solve complex problems.
  • Respond to breakdowns on-site.
Requirements
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle Mechanic, or Auto-Electrician.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, and mobile equipment.
  • Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A background in road transport, plant equipment, or similar fields is desirable.
